Hunger Hero: Susan P. Johnson

Hunger Hero: Susan P. Johnson

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

This year photography students generously gave their time and talents to help tell the story of the people we serve and our agency partners. The photos featured in the gallery below were taken by the amazing Susan P. Johnson at Evergreen Baptist Church during one of our Mobile Food Pantry distributions. Here is her statement:

My desire is to have current and potential donors/clients visually experience the benefits that the L.A. Food Bank facilitates. By showing interactions during food distributions, we can see genuine connections forming among volunteers and clients in local communities. The photos represent an atmosphere of genuine welcome and comfort for current and future clients by capturing the supportive environment created by all involved. The myriad of faces and family dynamics reflect the diversity of the L.A. Food Bank community conveying gratitude and compassion.

Thank you Susan for these wonderful photos!
