Los Angeles Regional Food Bank Receives Donation From Whole Foods Market
Donations from Feed4More Holiday Register Campaign at Los Angeles Whole Foods Markets will help feed Los Angeles County residents in need.
LOS ANGELES, CA – (February 17, 2021) – The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank received more than $41,000 as a result of Feed4More, a register drive at Whole Foods Market that took place from December 10 – December 24, 2020. As part of the grocer’s annual holiday efforts, donations from customers were distributed by Feeding America® to help support local food banks including the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to mobilize resources in the community to alleviate hunger.
“The long-term economic impact of the pandemic is affecting residents in Los Angeles County dramatically and this donation from Whole Foods Market will help the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank continue the support to the communities we serve,” said Michael Flood, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank President and CEO.
Whole Foods Market hosts Feed4More once a year during the holiday season to offer customers the opportunity to make a difference in their communities while grabbing their own groceries. During Feed4More, customers were encouraged to help support hunger relief in the Los Angeles County community by donating at the register.
