Metallica Fans Volunteer and the All Within My Hands Foundation Donates $20,000 to the LA Regional Food Bank

Metallica fans paid a visit to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank for an epic All Within My Hands Foundation Volunteer Day.

Big thanks to Metallica and all the Metallica Fans who participated during the All Within My Hands Foundation 2023 volunteer day!

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is honored to have had Metallica volunteers at the LA Regional Food Bank again to donate their time to fighting hunger in LA County. This effort was connected to their tradition of mobilizing fans all over the world to better their communities. In this case, the volunteer day was connected to their two shows at SoFi Stadium. The All Within My Hands volunteer day with Metallica was held on August 25, 2023.

Additionally, Metallica and the All Within My Hands Foundation donated $20,000 to the Food Bank. This will help provide enough food for up to 80,000 meals.

Fans of Metallica from around the world came together in Los Angeles to help bridge the hunger gap by volunteering at the LA Regional Food Bank’s South LA distribution center to sort 10,000 pounds of onions. These items will be distributed to food-insecure children, families, individuals and older adults through direct programs and the Food Bank’s partner agency network of over 600 other nonprofit organizations.

An Orchestrated Effort to Help Those in Need

This event holds significant importance for our mission, arriving at a crucial juncture during the summer months when food insecurity is more challenging, particularly for families with children. During summer break, parents of kids who rely on school meals face tough times as those meals become unavailable while schools are closed.

AWMH volunteer days at food banks all over America play a vital role in raising awareness about food insecurity in our community and various communities across the United States. It ignites a sense of motivation and engagement among community members of all ages to actively participate in hunger relief efforts.

From volunteering and donating to creating your virtual food drive or utilizing your company’s matching programs, there are countless ways to get involved with the Food Bank until our vision is met and no one goes hungry in LA County. Together, #WeFeedLA.
