NORMS Makes Caring the Norm to Provide Thousands of Meals in Los Angeles County

NORMS Volunteers at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

“Many of us think the issue of hunger mostly occurs in countries across the world, but it’s really in our backyard,” shares NORMS President Mike Colonna. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to support this worthwhile organization and everything it’s doing to impact change in our community.”

This year, NORMS month-long campaign raised more than $23,000 providing 92,000 meals for those in need in our community. It was important for the team at NORMS to give back to the community that supports their business. Every guest that visited any NORMS location that donated $3 or more to the Food Bank the guests received discounts on future visits and a placard they could sign and display at NORMS letting the everyone know they were a part of fighting hunger in Los Angeles County.

The funds that NORMS customers donated went to work immediately to provide meals for the 300,000 individuals that the Food Bank serves on a monthly basis.

Michael Flood, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank said, “Continued financial support from NORMS Restaurants and their customers has a significant impact for those we serve. The Food Bank provides four nutritious meals for every dollar donated. Throughout the years, NORMS has enabled us to provide more than 280,000 meals for those struggling with hunger.”

Thank you, NORMS Restaurants and all of your customers for Making Caring the Norm in our community. You are all heroes in the fight against hunger.
