EVENT DESCRIPTION

The 18th annual Season for Sharing event went virtual! On Saturday, December 12, the Food Bank honored donors, individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the fight against hunger in Los Angeles County. Chefs Suzanne Goin, Mary Sue Milliken, Susan Feniger, Sherry Yard, Elizabeth Falkner and Nancy Silverton provided a delicious multi-course gourmet meal during this evening of celebration.

Congratulations to This Year’s Award Winners

The Fighting Hunger Giving Hope Award

Presented to volunteers who have contributed hundreds of hours to the Food Bank in 2020. Thank you Richard Castillo, Mary Connors, Julian Hallmark, Guadalupe Hernandez, Diane Louie, Zachary Nelson, Ruel Poticar, Mohan Rijiumal and Lisa Tate.

The Dennis Winston Memorial Leadership Award

Presented to Michael Flood for his 20 years of leadership at the Food Bank and countless achievements during his tenure.

The Community Partner Award

Presented to our host Billy Harris and event producer Paul Vitagliano for their continued event-based support of the Food Bank.

The Tony Collier Award

Presented to the Food Bank staff who pivoted their work to meet the increased need for food in our community and have increased distribution by 145% in 2020.

Every year, at our Season for Sharing Event, we applaud our community partners for taking action in the effort to alleviate hunger throughout Los Angeles County. We are sincerely grateful for their leadership, dedication and generosity. By contributing their time and resources, our partners shine a spotlight on the fact that everyone can do something to fight hunger.
