EVENT DESCRIPTION

The 19th annual Season for Sharing event was held virtually this year. On Sunday, December 5, the Food Bank honored donors, individuals, and organizations that have made significant contributions to the fight against hunger in Los Angeles County. Chef Timothy Hollingsworth provided a delicious multi-course gourmet meal during the evening of celebration.

Congratulations to This Year’s Award Winners

The Fighting Hunger Giving Hope Award

Presented to Barilla, a supporter of the Food Bank since 2018, and its Mobile Food Pantry Program.

The Dennis Winston Memorial Leadership Award

Presented to Gary Kirkpatrick.

The Community Partner Award

Presented to California Volunteers and California’s Chief Service Officer, Josh Fryday, for their steadfast commitment and engagement in hunger relief.

The Tony Collier Award

Presented to Executive Director of Interfaith Food Center (IFC), Veronica Castro. The organization is one of the largest food pantries in California, serving more than 1,300 food-insecure families weekly.

Every year, at our Season for Sharing Event, we applaud our community partners for taking action in the effort to alleviate hunger throughout Los Angeles County. We are sincerely grateful for their leadership, dedication and generosity. By contributing their time and resources, our partners shine a spotlight on the fact that everyone can do something to fight hunger.
