Cheeky and This Bar Saves Lives join Forces to help those Hungry in LA

For Hunger Action Month, Cheeky and This Bar Saves Lives joined forces and volunteered to help us serve seniors in need in Carson. Cheeky believes in the transformative power in sharing a meal with the people you love. The company provides meals to children in Los Angeles County and across the country. They also provide volunteer support for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. This Bar Saves Lives, another like-minded company whose mission is to end childhood malnutrition worldwide, also joined the efforts to help those in need in our community.

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has one of the largest senior food assistance distribution programs in the country, feeding more than 28,000 seniors each month. Providing food to seniors in our community helps them live longer, happier and healthier lives.

In Carson alone, the Food Bank distributes more than 1,000 boxes of nutritious food each month. Each box weighs approximately 30 pounds, so many of the seniors depend on our volunteers to help carry their boxes.
