Champions On and Off the Field: Rams Tackle Food Insecurity with the LA Regional Food Bank

Through an invaluable continued partnership, the Rams and the Food Bank have been working together to help provide essential nutrition assistance to our neighbors.

The Rams organization has been a driving force in helping further the mission of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, especially as food and nutrition insecurity continues to affect so many of our neighbors. Their unwavering support has made a significant difference in ensuring that individuals and families across Los Angeles County can access the nutritious food they need.

During the 2024 holiday season, the Rams stepped up once again and played a big part in four food distributions, including one ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday in Inglewood, where about 2,000 neighbors received food resources, including frozen turkeys.

Another food distribution the Rams participated in included a farmer’s market-style distribution in partnership with Bloom Ranch, where community members received grocery staples including a Bloom Box of fresh produce and greens to nourish families and individuals throughout the season. Rams legend Roland Williams attended the distribution, which provided food and fresh produce to hundreds of families.

This collaborative effort significantly impacts the lives of those who may struggle with accessing nutritious food regularly and during the holiday season when there is so much emphasis on food-centric activities.

Through their numerous contributions, the Rams have supported critical programs that distribute food to those who need it most. Their team members, staff and volunteers have stepped up to donate their time and energy to support Food Bank initiatives.

In addition to their hands-on efforts, the Rams have leveraged their platform to raise awareness about food insecurity, including Taste of the Rams. The event is an annual fundraising event hosted by the Rams and the Food Bank, featuring special dishes from renowned LA chefs, appearances by Rams players like Cooper Kupp and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger. Held at SoFi Stadium, this celebration unites food enthusiasts, sports fans and community supporters to help ensure no one in Los Angeles County goes hungry. The Rams introduced the event in 2016 upon the team’s return to Los Angeles. Since the event’s inception, Taste of the Rams has provided millions of meals to our neighbors across LA County.

The Rams have been spotlighting an issue that impacts millions of people in our community. By amplifying this message, they inspire others to join the fight against hunger and make a tangible impact.

The Rams’ dedication, both on and off the field, exemplifies what it means to be a true champion. Thanks to their steadfast partnership and commitment to building a healthier, stronger Los Angeles County, we’re making strides toward a future where no one goes hungry.
