Jackson Kalb is the chef and owner of Jame Enoteca, located in El Segundo, California. Opened in June 2018, Jame is a tribute to Jackson’s culinary journey starting at the ambitious age of 13, spending his summers as an apprentice working in the kitchen at Melisse under Josiah Citrin until graduating high school.
He went on to pursue a degree at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Management. At that time, he found opportunities to work at world renowned restaurants such as Grant Achatz’s Alinea and Danny Meyers’ Union Square Hospitality Group. Upon graduation, he was hired as a culinary manager for the Hillstone Restaurant Group in Los Angeles, and then as the chef de cuisine at Factory Kitchen. With the same gusto he has demonstrated since his teenage years, Jackson is now working on his second restaurant, slated to open in Venice in early 2020.
