Chef Bio: Gian Caterina

Gian Caterina

The logo of "Antojitos Cocina Mexicana" in Los Angeles showcases a red circular design with a bold letter "A" and a star at the center, reflecting its commitment to the community much like the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The outer circle proudly displays "ANTOJITOS COCINA MEXICANA" in uppercase.

Chef Gian Caterina, part of the CityWalk Food Team, stands proudly in his white uniform at Universal Studios Hollywood. The backdrop features a large blue gorilla statue. Committed to community service, he also collaborates with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to fight hunger.I am originally from Brazil, half Italian, quarter Japanese, and a quarter a combination of ethnicities. I was born loving and respecting food, consequently choosing this path as my career. I moved to the United States for high school in South Florida. I ended up moving to California, where I achieved my culinary degree. I have been married for nearly fifteen years and have an eleven-year-old son. I have cooked in restaurants in Brazil and worked at Universal Orlando for six years.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my son play basketball. Besides cooking, my other passions are surfing, training in jiu-jitsu, and playing sports.
