Closing the Hunger GAAP

Closing the Hunger GAAP is an annual campaign led by the accounting community, focused on providing nutritious meals for food insecure residents of Los Angeles County. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank invites you to join in supporting this important community effort. The campaign is a competition with points awarded for financial contributions and volunteer hours.

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has been mobilizing resources to fight hunger in L.A. County for the last 45 years. One out of every seven people in L.A. County experiences food insecurity. Financial support is critical to the Food Bank’s ability to acquire, transport, store and distribute millions of pounds of food.

Closing the Hunger GAAP makes a difference! Since its inception in Los Angeles in 2013, this annual campaign has raised more than $330,000 and inspired volunteers to fill nearly 6,000 shifts at the Food Bank.
