I am proud to lead an incredibly effective team of staff and volunteers that make such a big impact on the lives of many Los Angeles County residents every day. Since the Food Bank’s humble beginnings in 1973 when Tony Collier started picking up food donations in his pick-up truck, to today as we reach hundreds of thousands of people who need our help, the compassion and caring of this work continues to astound me. The Food Bank is the “hub of the wheel” for so many local networks, and we pride ourselves in looking for ways to increase our impact with each year.
