Canstruction LA 2011

October 7 - 18, 2011
Westfield Culver City

WHAT IS CANSTRUCTIONLA?

CANSTRUCTIONLA HAS BROUGHT TOGETHER THE ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING COMMUNITIES TO HELP TO FEED THE HUNGRY AND RAISE AWARENESS IN LA COUNTY.

Organized by a collaboration of design industry leaders, CanstructionLA invites teams of prominent Los Angeles architects, engineers and designers to create exciting exhibits made entirely of cans of food, to be put on public display and awarded prizes by a panel of judges. Prizes include “Juror’s Favorite,” “Best Meal,” “Best Use of Labels,” and “Structural Ingenuity.” At the event’s completion, the cans are donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Examples of works from past years’ events can be found on our website, www.canstructionla.com.  Canstruction — produced under the auspices of the Society for Design Administration — has been held in over 100 cities across the United States and Canada. Over the last five years, CanstructionLA has contributed over 300,000 cans of food for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

This year’s CanstructionLA, scheduled for October 7 - October 18, 2011 at Westfield Culver City, will build on our past successes to create an unforgettable event with more teams, more attendees, more media and more CANS.

THIS IS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO ASSOCIATE YOUR COMPANY WITH A HIGH-PROFILE, PHILANTHROPIC PUBLIC EVENT LINKING YOU WITH INFLUENTIAL MEMBERS OF THE LOS ANGELES ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN COMMUNITY.
