Family Volunteer Day, a program of the Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network, showcases the benefits of families working together, introduces them to community service and encourages those who haven’t yet made the commitment, to volunteer as a family.  Sponsored by The Walt Disney Company, Family Volunteer Day is held annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving and initiates National Family Week.

Volunteering as a family provides quality time, strengthens communication and offers opportunities for family members to be role models while making significant contributions to their neighborhoods.  Family volunteering encourages lifelong volunteers and a legacy of volunteering for the next generation to carry into the future.

During Family Volunteer Day, communities worldwide work with families, corporations, nonprofits and Volunteer Centers to make volunteering a family tradition. Your family can get involved by supporting the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and our "Virtual Food Drive."  You can still participate by, clicking here.

Every family who participates will receive an "Incredible Family" window cling to show off their support, compliments of Disney (while supplies last).
