City National Bank and King’s Hawaiian Team Up To Fight Hunger

David Hasenbalg, managing director and head of City National’s Food & Beverage Group and Mark Taira, CEO of King’s Hawaiian

City National Bank and King’s Hawaiian came together in April to feed those facing hunger in our community by supporting and volunteering at our Mobile Food Pantry distribution at the Crenshaw Baptist Church of Torrance. Both companies brought employees to help with the distribution.

“City National Bank’s Food & Beverage team lends to food and beverage companies across the United States. We are particularly proud when we are able to team up with our clients to invest in the communities where we work, live and do business. Thanks to our team members, clients and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, we are able to contribute our time and financial resources to assist those who are in need,” said David Hasenbalg, managing director and head of City National’s Food & Beverage Group.

Mark Taira, CEO of King’s Hawaiian, was on hand to deliver the companies famous Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls, which they donated. The Food Bank’s Mobile Food Pantry visits locations around Los Angeles County that do not have access to a brick and mortar food pantry. Support from City National Bank and King’s Hawaiian, as well as other generous donors, make this work possible.
