Teacher Resource Bank
Through this program teachers in low-income areas with needed school supplies free of charge, giving more children in L.A. County an opportunity to learn and succeed. The Teacher Resource Bank is an affiliate of the Kid's in Need Foundation's national network of resource centers, which supply teachers with a wide array of products. Inventory is ever-changing and includes basic school supplies such as paper, pencils and cleaning items.
To be eligible to participate in the program, schools must have 70 percent or more of its students enrolled in the federal school lunch program, which provides free or low-cost meals each day. Any full-time teacher who provides direct instruction to students at eligible schools may sign up. Due to limited resources (i.e. supplies, staffing, space), schools will be invited to participate on a roll-out basis.
