Here’s how to take part:
1.Contact your employer’s Human Resources office to determine if your company matches employee donations. If your company does not currently match employee donations, you might suggest they consider doing so.
2. Review the program guidelines to ensure that the Food Bank is eligible to receive matching gifts.
3. Complete the donor section of the form and submit it, along with your check or credit card authorization to:
Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
1734 East 41st Street
Los Angeles, CA 90058
We will verify that your gift has been received and return the form to your employer. Your employer then sends the matching gift directly to the Food Bank. It’s that easy to make double the difference!
Donating directly from your paycheck is a great way to support the fight against hunger all year round. Providing the Food Bank with a reliable source of funding allows us to better plan our future services more effectively and with confidence. Contact your Human Resources Department today for more information on payroll giving.
The following programs are a great way for employees to work together and provide food for our needy community members. These programs often develop unity, create team building, and generate a fun atmosphere at the workplace!
Employees donate food products. We provide you with collection boxes and pick them up when they are full or when the food drive is completed (there is a 400 lb. minimum). Fun incentives like your company donating $1 for each pound of food collected or raffling prizes can increase participation and help spread awareness. For more information click here.
Virtual Food Drive
Going virtual is a great way to help the Food Bank really get the most out of donations. Your company can set up its own virtual food drive webpage and promote competitions between departments to see who can raise the most money. Every $1 raised equals 4 meals. For more information, click here.
