The Skip a Lunch, Feed a Bunch campaign runs from June 1 to September 30.  During these months, school will be out for the summer - but for many kids in Los Angeles County, that’s not a good thing.

When schools close for the summer, thousands of children are not able to access school breakfast and lunch programs, a critical source of nutrition.  Therefore, more families are looking to local food pantries to supplement the meals their children would have received in school.

Nearly one million Los Angeles County residents received food assistance from food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.  An estimated 400,000 kids and 49,000 seniors benefited from food distributed by food pantries and Food Bank programs over the course of the year.

With a donation of only $10 (which is what you probably pay for lunch out), you will provide enough food for 40 much needed meals so our hungry neighbors will get the nutritious food they need this summer.

Fighting Hunger…Giving Hope

With every $1 donated, the Food Bank can distribute enough food for 4 meals into the community.
