Watch Tonight at 7:30pm on KCET-TV as Huell tours the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank!!

Huell Howser follows the trail of food from the field to a family in need and he examines how food that could have gone to waste is saved by the Foodbank, then distributed to local food pantries and given to families, children and seniors facing hunger.

It's an amazing journey through the emergency food network that more and more Californians are turning to during this slow economy.

This episode premieres  tonight on KCET at 7:30pm and will be re-broadcast on the following days:

Skip A Lunch, Feed A Bunch

With a donation of only $10 (which is what you probably pay for lunch out) you can provide enough food for 40 meals.

The Skip a Lunch, Feed a Bunch campaign runs now through September. During these months, school will be out for summer - but for many kids in Los Angeles, that's not a good thing. Last year, a staggering 78% of children were eligible for free or reduced lunch programs. For too many of these kids, what they eat at school is the best meal of the day and maybe the only one.

By participating in Skip a Lunch, Feed a Bunch, you can help the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank provide more kids and families with the nutritious food they need this summer.

Pass it on!

Vanna White and Wheel of Fortune Lend a Hand at the Foodbank

Wheel of Fortune and Vanna White visited the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank on May 13th to celebrate their 2010 partnership to raise funds for Feeding America and food banks throughout the U.S. Vanna White provided an update of funds raised to date and took a tour of the facilities to see how the funds will be used. Following the tour, Vanna, joined by Maxwell House, and Wheel of Fortune staff, volunteered their time by packing food kits for seniors.

Vanna's tour will be aired  on an upcoming Wheel of Fortune show in September.
